Data on Green Jobs by BLS

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is responsible for developing and implementing the collection of new data on green jobs. They have issued their final definition of what a "green job" is for the purposes of a new program of collecting data about green jobs and the green economy. See Sept. 21 issue of the Federal Register. The resulting information will be useful for evaluating policy initiatives and the labor market impact of economic activity related to protecting the environment and conserving natural resources.
