Congressional Research Service Reports
on COVID-19 and other key topics – Scholarly Resources for Researchers
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) works to support the research
of congressional
committees and members of Congress. CRS staff assist with all
stages of the legislative process, from bill
drafting,
through committee hearings and floor debate, to the oversight of enacted laws
and various agency activities.
CRS approaches complex topics from a
variety of perspectives and examines all sides of an issue. The resulting reports, made available to the public, are
an excellent scholarly resource for all researchers and students on many
topics. Reports are usually from four to 10 pages in length.
Several websites make these reports
available. The most comprehensive is at Congress.gov, https://crsreports.congress.gov/
