Exploring Data.census.gov

Data.census.gov is the new platform to access demographic and economic data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Previously available from the American FactFinder platform, Data.census.gov allows users to access data and digital content from the Census Bureau in one place.
When you arrive at the front page you will see a search box that says "I'm looking for..." for quick searches and a link below it to perform an Advanced Search.

Start a search with the single search to get quick statistics. Results are grouped into Tables, Maps, and Pages categories. Searching a geography such as Oklahoma or the United States will show a profile page which gives data for People, Race, Families, Health, Education, Business and Economy, Housing, and Income and Poverty.

Selecting advanced search, use one of the filters such as Topics, Geographies, Years, Surveys, and Codes to narrow your search. See How do I get started with my search?

To save your table or map results, copy and paste the full URL from your address bar on data.census.gov.  This will allow you to return to exactly where you were before leaving the website. To save your search so that it can be performed again later, copy and edit the URL from your address bar as demonstrated on ask.census.gov.
